Couples & Family Therapy

Couples and family therapy with me includes 50-75 minute sessions in the office located in Campbell, CA, or virtually through Zoom. These sessions include partners within a relationship, some members of a family, or all family members. I charge between $150-$225 per session and offer sliding scale rates for those experiencing financial barriers.

Taking the first step into couples or family therapy can bring up a lot of mixed emotions, and we will take things slow. Everyone has the opportunity to share their feelings, concerns, challenges, as well as values, strengths, and passions. We will get to know each other and better understand the path of what will happen in our work together.

In our sessions, we use guided mediations, visualizations, creative expression, play, humor, movement, toys, sound, and other props to navigate what is coming up between each member and the dynamic happening in between. What we uncover is typically old patterns from past experiences, unmet emotional needs, or suppressed thoughts and feelings. I will guide each member in building their own self-awareness and awareness of what may be happening for the other person. I hold the intention of seeing each other with an open heart and open mind. That means we don't judge, change, or fix each other. We hold one another with care.

Towards the end of therapy, you may notice a shift in your relational dynamics and how you tend to each other. This often happens as your awareness for yourself and others strengthen. You understand yourself better, which leads to improved capacity to hold compassion and understanding for others in an honest way.

At the end, we will reflect on your progress and make steps towards what's next. We'll explore having sessions less frequently, on an as-needed basis, or bringing our work together to a close.
